D-Day

Well... the stork above says 40 weeks pregnant. And yes, we are. No baby yet, not for lack of trying though! It was really, really nice here Saturday and Sunday so we took the opportunity to get some yard work done, thinking the strenuous labor may help things along. Last weekend Kim planted some flowers, this weekend, we decided to go bigger. Saturday, we decided to re-mulch the flower beds both in front of the house and next to the garden shed. First we needed to make room for some fresh mulch so we raked off the old mulch and dug out some of the dirt. Jason has been dying to have some tractor time, so of course the Suburban and four wheeled wagon were called into service.

The removed debris was hauled out, and we were ready. We headed out to the Perennial Barn just south of town, and picked up 3/4 of a yard of mulch.
The mulch was distributed nicely, and was the perfect amount. Not than any of you probably really care... not the important of the story, eh? Since we were still baby-less, we went out to dinner, and then out to another local establishment for a little live music while enjoying a coffee and piece of pie. Sunday came and still no baby. More yard work! That'll do it! We got a free tree on Arbor Day a few weeks ago, it's been living in a bucket in the backyard, we decided that the due date should bring something memorable, so the tree was planted, and dubbed "Cletus." Of course, there had been a woodpile in the way of Cletus' new spot, so the woodpile was moved, stacked and re-stacked. Then when that was done, there were two new Iris flower bulbs to plant. One of the colors was this one... and I can't find a picture of the other. They're both called "Saturday Night Live."

That all complete, everything still holding, we decided on a movie. Saw the new Indiana Jones one. Good flick, kinda corny parts in the story line. Now... a little after 10pm here we sit, updating. Going to be any day now... we'll keep you posted. Take care, talk to you soon.
