Mobility

Well, it's finally happened. Carly is officially mobile. This of course we were only mildly actually prepared for. So, since she can now cross a room in a short matter of time we decided we had better begin figuring out what to do about all these freaking stairs in our house. At the moment we've opted for only to gate the basement stairs. Most of our time is spent in the downstairs living room, and at the moment there is a greater concern about falling down than crawling up. Yes, of course we realize that eventually there will be crawling up that results in falling down, but let's not put the cart before the horse. So here's a few random pictures from the last few weeks. At the end there should be a 40 second video. I've loaded it through Blogger this time, so hopefully more people will be able to see it. I had some complaints about the last ones not working.

On to the pictures.

Here's Jason installing the afore mentioned gate. Looks simple enough, right? Ha!

Carly just being her cute self.

I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you..... ok, I am.

Check me out...ready to go!

Columbo doesn't realize they're racing.

Just another cute picture.

Carly has been very, very happy with this new-found mobility.

Hey dude.... it's like, I'm making music with like, spoons man.

Ha ha.... just kidding.

Aunt Jenn and Nick came to visit on Valentines/President's Day weekend. They came up to see Carly and babysit so Kim and Jason could go out for a nice Valentine's day dinner. Carly had a lot of fun. Thanks guys!!

One of our new favorite pass-times is standing in place.

Hrmm... I can almost feel that next tooth now. It's close!

Maybe just a little early yet, but Carly is enjoying her new toy.

Soon enough she'll be scooting this thing around on her own and there will not be enough baby gates in the world!

Carly and Kim sizing up feet.

Bye everyone, glad you got to see me!!! Don't forget there's a video below.

Awesome pics and video..wow she's already saying dada! Thanks for the updates, it helps my Carly fix especially with the video. I love the captions too, especially the one about not touching Columbo (he looks so enthused) I can't wait to see you guys again, I'm sitting Brian down tonight to pick our weekend.

Christine gave me your website, so of course I had to check out adorable Carly. Love the video. Kylie was cracking up. Now she wants me to keep playing it over and over. What an adorable little girl you have.
