I have to make mention in this picture, in the background on the left edge, you will see Carly's brand new knitted stocking hanging by the fireplace. Kim just finished it in time for Christmas.

Carly wasn't so interested really in the frosting part of the cookies, but when it came time to sprinkle them, she was all over it.

She's very good at sprinkles.

This one will be for Daddy!

And this one will be for me to taste test!

Christmas in Northern Illinois was very white this year!

Carly enjoyed playing in it. Sure is better than the sub zero temp snow we have at home in Minnesota!! Here she is helping to shovel off the sidewalk.

Then we moved down to Central Illinois and enjoyed some Christmas time with the Schahl side of the family.

Back to Dixon for Christmas Day... poor Carly was miserably sick. She put on a good face and tried to enjoy part of the day. Here is a special present from Gram and Baka... it is Kim's tricycle. Baka spent quite a bit of time tracking down parts to fix it up (Nana ran over it when it was Kim's) so Carly could have it for Christmas! (We'll try to not run over it....)

After many hours on the road, the front wheel drive sleigh dutifully brought us home. Carly (and Kim) were finally feeling better and all were happy to be home.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Carly's hair is getting long. She looks so cute bundled up and shoveling snow. Sounds like you had a busy Christmas. I hope you are all feeling better. Happy New Year!
Love,

Great pictures! I hope you're all staying warm in those freezing cold temps you're getting this week.
Loved the cookies picture she will enjoy those pictures when she gets to be an adult. Great memories come from around the cookies baking table that is for sure.
Thanks for the great pictures. I didn't realize Nana ran over your bike Kim. It has taken a long time to get it fixed.:)
