Whew! What a weekend!!

Well... as promised, below are some pictures. We survived the long whirlwind weekend trip home for Thanksgiving. We left Wednesday afternoon and had pretty much solid traffic from Tomah to Rockford. All lanes full the entire way. We arrived in Dixon, unpacked said hello and hit the hay. Got up Thursday morning and headed the rest of the way down to Lincoln. Enjoyed some good food and family time with the Schahls. Carly got to see both Great-Grandmas, both of whom really enjoyed her visit. We left Friday afternoon to return to Dixon, Saturday we helped out at the Kitsons Christmas Tree Farm, and then had a birthday party for Carly's cousin Ellie. Sunday brought snow and the trip home. Ugh... long trip. At least for the most part we either had traffic OR bad roads... one or the other, which helped. Made it in just a shade under 8 hours on the return trip. whew! For those who don't realize.... it's only 5hours and 15 minutes between our house and Dixon in good driving conditions, so the extra 2+ hours in the crappy conditions was a drag! Well, I suppose that's enough complaining and summarizing the trip...... onto the pictures. We've pared them down to the cutest of the bunch so as to not take too long for you dial-uppers to see them. Enjoy!

This matching hat and blanket was made by Debra's mom. (Debra is a grad-school friend of Kim's)

Carly standing tall.. just needs something to hold on to.

What do you think?

Shhhhhh! Quiet in the library!

Carly and Great Grandma Schahl. Carly found the old top very interesting.

It kept her entertained for nearly an hour.

Made sure to stop by and see Great Grandma Henrichs too!

Carly's first Christmas tree had to come from the farm!

Carly catching up on some reading.

Just hangin out with my new pal in the gift shop at the farm.

I finally got to meet my Aunt Michele. I'm not sure, I think she might be crazy!

And finally here's a shot of Carly rolling over.

It was a great weekend, glad we got to see so many people. Take care, Jason.

Yeah, love the pictures, sorry about the stinky drive, I hope Christmas brings better travel conditions! I was excited to see one of the pictures I took in the mix :) The picture/video whatever it is of her rolling over did not show up. Thanks for the update....take a couple weeks to relax before we see you again.
