Lots of visitors and the 4th of July

Well as you can imagine it's been a busy few weeks. Lots of pictures to share so I'll keep the commentary to a minimum.

We still find time to take Columbo for a walk and get to the park. Carly enjoys being in charge of Columbo and he enjoys her pace.

We were so excited that Michele made the trip to Minnesota to visit! In fact we had so much fun this is the only picture we took.

A couple of weekends ago we went to the Wilkomm's (Kim's friends from work) annual kid party. What a great time....pools, bouncy houses and juice boxes what more could you possibly need?

Ummm maybe a little roller coaster?

Gram was here for almost a whole month (although her other kids will tell you it felt like it was much longer). She and Carly loved being roomies and Gram even got to do some fancy stuff to Carly's hair.

Thankfully Molly appears to like the swing a little more than her older sister did.

Well not always.

Gram thinks that Molly looks just like her Aunt Jen (Strock) did, so she made her pose just like one of Jen's baby pictures for comparison.

Despite his lack of interest in having to share our affection yet again, Columbo is a good big brother.

This was our best attempt at catching what was a very cute and dimpled smile.

Jason had Friday off and it was beautiful here so we spent most of the day enjoying the patio. Jason taught Carly how to hopscotch.

She is quite good at it. Although it's difficult to decide who's more fun to watch hopscotch....Jason or Carly.

We had to enjoy some pool time as well.

may as well try out the sprinkler too.

Carly helped make dessert for dinner with Grandpa, Grammy J, Jennifer and Steven

Molly was clearly very excited for the 4th of July.

Everybody got a chance to hold Molly

Oops we didn't get a picture of Steven holding Molly, but finally somebody was giving Columbo some love.

Carly loved all of the attention too!

After everyone was gone it was time for bath, stories and bed. Carly was very helpful in giving Molly a bath.

and Molly was wiped out.

Good night everybody. Hope to see you all very soon!

A post to bond with.

Ok... so I've received a few complaints about not getting any updates for a whole week, and that some far away relatives aren't quite able to bond properly without said updates. There's a bunch of pics to follow, most of the commentary will be kept short. We got to go home last Sunday. Yep, been home a whole week now. Everything's going well, Kim is recovering, Carly is adjusting, and Jason is... well... I'm not sure what he's doing. Obviously not enough updates.

We tried and tried to catch Molly smiling in the hospital. She did it on multiple occasions, but of course... the camera auto focus thingy just isn't quick enough.

Aren't I an angel? I hear a heavenly chorus in the background, do you?

Oh, wait, that's just me.

Getting ready to go home. For some reason, this is the only picture we managed to get of this event.

Home, adjusting to the new surroundings. She's so tiny in the crib. Just a few short weeks ago Carly was sleeping here touching multiple sides at once.

Our neighbors stopped over with this totally rockin' diaper cake for us! A monkey for Carly, and a tricycle for Molly!

Carly got a whole bunch of hair things back in the birthday extravaganza. She decided that as many of them should go in her hair as would fit.

She's really a good big sister.

Loves her dearly and is just itching to share all the secrets about how to get daddy wrapped around her finger.

Step one... snuggle. Carly the master... Molly the beginner.

Molly's first checkup, a mere two days after going home. Doc says no concerns.

Carly decided she was in the mood for some strawberry shortcake, so she headed into the kitchen to whip some up. She wasn't happy about being interrupted!

Molly get a bath... well, you know... the don't get them wet, just wipe them with a damp cloth type.

Once again, the Big Sister quick to help when Molly needs to be burped.

Of course, all this helping out around here has gotten Carly all out of sorts. As we all know when stuff is spinning to fast, you sleep on the floor.

Back to work.

Jason had a busy day of cleaning up some storm damage in the yard, Molly helped him take a nap to recover.

Up bright and early for church on Father's day.

This is pretty much how she looked all through church.

Home for a pit stop then out for apple fritters and coffee.

Well, as you can see it's been a busy week. Hope that meets the needs of some of our distant relatives(aka blogstalkers). We'll be in touch soon!

Still in the hospital

Day 2 in the hospital went pretty good. We will be here at least two more days. Gram came to visit while Carly went to tell all her friends at daycare about her new little sister. Baka arrived sometime during the day too, and we hung out for a little while. Carly came to visit in the evening. She was pretty happy to hang out with mommy for a little while. Carly also got to hold her new little sister for a little bit. All in all a good day.

Gram, Baka and Carly will be in to visit again on Saturday. We'll update again in a day or two.

Drumroll........ratta tatta ratta tatta ratta tatta tat

In this corner... weighing in at a healthy 8 pounds, 10 ounces.......

Molly Agnes!!!!!

Carly and Gram came in to check things out. Carly helped Daddy send out some text messages.

Amazingly, Molly even managed to find some time to get her new big sister a present.

All settled into a private room for the next few days... Carly is being a good big sister.

Ok... everyone is doing fine. Hopefully we'll have another update tomorrow.

The birthday extravaganza continues

Carly's birthday extravaganza continues as a few more presents arrived today by good ol' US Mail. She was quite excited to see what Grampa and Grammy J sent!

Errrr... this paper won't tear.

Now we're getting somewhere....

Aha.... victory!!

And now... in anticipation of the impending new arrival of "Rocky"..... We wanted Gram to know that we will readily welcome the help and company. We want her to feel at home with her new "roomie."
