Well as usual we've been busy and it's been a long time since our last post, but I don't think you'll be disappointed. We don't post often (Megan) but that means lots of pictures when we finally get around to it. Let's see, what's new with us....Molly is walking and has been for the last couple of weeks. She's got lots of new teeth and chats up a storm. She doesn't make much sense which I think she realizes so a lot of times she just moves her lips with no sound. Carly is a chatter box and keeps us laughing. She is becoming more and more independent every day. The good news is that she loves to help out around the house (cooking, laundry, cleaning etc). In fact today after helping me plant some flowers she was so excited about scrubbing toilets that she sang a song about it. If only that excitement lasted....
Well enough of story time, we all know what you really want is pictures.
Carly showing Daddy how it's done.
As promised a picture of the completed project!
Our little gardener helping to beautify her park.
Watering is very important. (Thanks Uncle Andrew and Aunt Wendy for the cool gardening stuff).
Break time with Daddy.
Checking out the pots and pans.
I'm going to get you!
FACT: It's always easier to move heavy objects with your tongue out of your mouth.
Story time with Daddy. Ten Little Ladybugs, once Carly's favorite, now Molly's.
Mastered utensils (well at least it looks like it anyway)
Are these cool or do they make me look like a bug?
Just chillin' at the picnic table wishing someone would bring me a snack.
You're right....they're just cool!
Snack break!
Where did Molly go?
There she is!
The sprinkler made those hot days a little bit more tolerable.
A couple weekends ago we headed over to Oxbow Zoo to check out the local animals. Here's Carly trying to find the Badger.
Relaxing poolside.
Sisterly love.
For a wagon ride with Daddy!
I'm riding an elephant!
Last weekend we drove to IL to visit the Schahls. We stayed in the QCA on Friday night so we could spend some quality time with Aunt Jenn. She took us to the Children's Museum and we had a blast! The outdoor water area was the favorite.
Molly threw caution to the wind and decided to drink this fabulous water. She just couldn't help herself.
I guess she's too little to understand that purple cup with red line means don't drink this fabulously refreshing nectar.
There is something magical about having complete control of turning water off and on.
Dress up? Of course!
Molly preferred to explore the "little kid" area....
\
but stopped back to check out the tap show.
Making some music!
Watering the plants.
Saturday night we went to the county fair in Lincoln with Grampa, Grammy J, Steven and Laura. We got to see animals, ride rides (thanks Grampa and Grammy J!), go to a tractor pull and eat fair food. It was a dream come true!
Aunt Laura didn't seem to mind carrying Molly around.
Who doesn't love a picture of Jason crammed into some little kid ride! What a good Daddy!
Carly's all time favorite ride. She could make this helicopter go up or down. We had to ride this one twice.
Uncle Steven and Carly on the roller coaster.
Feeding the goats.
I think that goat is thinking about eating Molly.
Sunday we all went to the park before a birthday pizza party for Laura and Steven.
Then back to Grampa and Grammy J's to hang out.
Chattin' it up on the phone with Uncle Steven, what a sport he is!
Grampa and Molly playing ball.
I'm not sure who was having more fun.
Grammy J, do you mind if I have some Gatorade?
Mmmmm delicious
Our friend Michele sent us tickets to a couple of Twins games. She had won them and of course, being in FL, she couldn't use them, so she gave them to us (Thank you, thank you thank you!). We were very fortunate that our friends from daycare wanted to do a kid swap. We took their kids while they went to the Tuesday night game and they kept ours while we went to the Wednesday night game.
The kids had a blast! All of your old toys seem so much more exciting when there are new kids to play with them. Tea party!
Dinner at the little kid card table.
Molly loving the house.
Noah joining her, Dukes of Hazard style.
House party.
Dance party.
Slumber party.
Groggy morning. Did we stay up too late?
Wednesday night it was our turn for kid free fun at the Twins game.
We had awesome seats!
Here's Jason holding the foul ball he caught. He dislocated his finger but he survived and it was totally worth it! Thanks Michele and Diane and Kieth!
That's all for now.
