Carly is a super walker now. She prefers it to crawling, in fact, she hardly crawls at all anymore. With that walking of course enters a new phase of dragging things around. Here she is taking Kim's running shoes on a tour of the kitchen.

She was thoroughly fascinated by them, and played with them for quite a while that day.

Later we moved downstairs to one of our favorite toys, the stacking cups. In the photo below the top two are in mid air just after she gave them a whack.

Sometimes she knocks the whole thing down, other times she calmly disassembles it. It's very fun to watch her little mind grasping the concepts of what's going on.

After some hard playing, it's always nice to kick back in your favorite chair with some suds.

When we get tired, we start to just lay out on the floor. This teddy bear is super soft, and often she lays down either on top of it, or with an arm draped over it.

We've recently really started to like stories at bed time. We've been trying for some time now, but until recently the only book she really paid any attention to was the 10 little ladybugs. Now, we have found some other fun ones to look at.

She really likes the kitties and puppies page... and gives it kissed and hugs.

Here's a shot of her out in daddy-land... enjoying some imaginary driving time on the tractor.

Carly really likes to sit and pretend to drive.

Carly's toybox is coming together nicely... in fact as I type this it's already moved beyond assembly to paint.

Passed the taste test.

Yep, it will do.

Just this past weekend we took her up to the Como Zoo in Saint Paul. It's a nice place and the weather was absolutely perfect. Like I said earlier she really prefers to walk, and this was no exception. She didn't want to be in the stroller at all... she insisted on walking quite a bit.

Yes, it's a real zoo with 14 foot tall giraffes and all!

Ok, well, that's about all for now.... watch out... I'm coming to get you!!
